Introduction to Excel Interface and Basic Functions
In this initial lesson, students will become familiar with the Excel interface, including the ribbon, toolbar, and worksheet layout. They’ll learn how to navigate through cells, rows, and columns, and understand the purpose of essential tabs such as Home, Insert, and Formulas. Basic functions like opening and saving a workbook, entering and editing data, and using basic formulas (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE) will be introduced. By the end of this lesson, students should be comfortable with the general layout of Excel and performing simple data entry and calculations.
